Fraudulent charge I don't use an iPhone I use an Android now and I did not purchase insurance for the phone I have now with the same number now because of the way they didn't honor it and by the time they figured out that I did have insurance I had already purchased another phone. Dropping the insurance that I paid to charter as far as I knew on a monthly basis I started to file a claim with AKKO but since I had another phone at that point I didn't see the reason to proceed with the claim as the deductible was almost as high as the new phone I purchased as I couldn't wait any longer I had important business matters and was trying to save my phone number I almost lost my phone number over this.

And now you're going to bill me a year later for a year messing up my bank account.

I was going to file a dispute but instead I just canceled the subscription which is being way too kind. I am very unappreciative of this experience and have already canceled my internet with charter and I will in the future not have a cell phone with them either.

Cant speak with anyone on the phone about a claim. When you call the number provided, it says you can contact them via SMS. Messaged them but no help there either.

AKKO Insurance Services - Delay Tactics

Out of grievance with TMobile, we decided to give them less money and cancelled our protection plan with them and looked for a third party insurance. That's when we found Akko.

After reading the reviews, I was so excited and relieved that we have found an affordable and reliable option for our family.

Almost a year later, my son's phone stops charging. It seems like the charging port is broken or loose. It took a whole week of back and forth emailing Akko just to get the claim approved. First we started the claim on the app.

They then emailed us after a day, asking us to show them a video of the phone not working. We sent them the video expeditiously, within the same day. We waited 2 days to get a response. When we finally get a response, the reply we got was "Can you please confirm the make and model of your device?".

Whyyyy didn't you ask that the first time?? In fact, why didn't you include the required video and confirmation of the brand and model when I first opened the claim on the app??? I feel that this is a delay tactic. Another 2 days go by and they finally say that the claim is approved.

But wait, there's more work to be done. Now I can go to the repair place, ask for a quote and hope that they have the ability and parts to do the repair. Otherwise, you will have to wait for them to get the parts which can take up to a week. This is absolutely inconvenient.

No thanks. Akko, I expected so much more. Dealing with a 3rd party repair shop is understandable, I can be ok with that.

But the fact that you wasted a week with the senseless back and forth emailing, thanks unacceptable. I do not recommend Akko.
